Melvin was born in 1971 and grew up in the ghetto of Houston, Texas. At the age of 13, his father died. With the pressure of being financially strapped and surrounded by hopeless situations, he turned to sports. Overcoming incredibly negative circumstances in his life, Melvin achieved the dream of playing professional basketball. Melvin Adams was a member of the world-famous HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS and now speaks in schools, all across the nation!
His energetic and engaging presentation style makes him a favorite for people of all ages!
